Digital 3-D Image Measurment System (DISTA)

DISTA describes an interactive tool that was conceived for the spatial measurement of objects on the basis of digital photogrammetric images. This tool allows the monoscopic as well as spatial treatment and analysis of images.

The important properties of this new development are platform-independence and the modular, object-oriented structure of the software. These properties make the system very flexible and easy to upgrade. The particular needs of the different user groups can therefore be readily accommodated.

The system is unlimited with regard to the size and number of the images used and operates without special hardware components. Consequently, the system can also operate on conventional PC's, making this technology available for a wide circle of users.

The available configurations extend from the simple 3D-Viewer to the evaluation station for the coverage of three-dimensional objects.
