The "Atlas of Sustainable Rheinland-Pfalz" is a project of
the "Sustainability Research Group" at the georg forster Institute.
The work is carried out by the georg forster Institute (Dr. Peter Böhm)
in cooperation with i3Mainz. The purpose of this work on the "Atlas" is to analyse current environmental politics in Rheinland-Pfalz with regard to its ability to fulfill future needs in the context of sustainable development. Another purpose is to inform the interested public of the environmental situation in Rheinland-Pfalz. As a first step we are compiling an Atlas comprised of maps with different environmental themes, to document the status quo of the environmental situation in Rheinland-Pfalz. From these maps, recommended actions for sustainable development in Rheinland-Pfalz will be deduced. An Internet-version of the "Atlas" is now underway. Project Involvement: |
